Questions and/or requests for clarification shall be submitted in writing to Crystal Owens by email to Bids@CurrituckCountyNC.gov no later than 4:00 p.m. on October 18, 2023. All questions requiring additional information will be responded to in an addendum no later than 10:00 a.m. on October 24, 2023. All addenda shall become part of the Contract Documents. This is an informal bid. Bids will not be opened publicly and read aloud. Award will be made to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of 30 days. All bidders must meet the licensing requirements under Chapter 87 of the N.C. General Statutes. Small Business Entities, Women Owned Businesses, Minority Owned Businesses, Veteran and Service-disabled Veteran Owned Businesses are encouraged to submit bids. The County reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities and defects, as it may deem to be in its best interest. Replace the current shingle roofs with standing seam aluminum roofing material. o Facilities to include: o One large picnic pavilion o Three (3) individual picnic tables with roofs o One restroom facility The description of work to be completed is as follows: o Replace shingle roofing with 0.32 aluminum standing seam roofing material. o Supply and install one layer of storm guard by GAF or equivalent over the entire roofing deck. o Supply and install 0.32x22" aluminum coil roofing in a standard color to be chosen by the County. o Supply and install 304 stainless fixed clips by Englert Metals or equivalent product. o Supply and install 1" pan head low profile 400 series stainless steel screws by Metal Fastening Systems or an equivalent product. o Supply and Install two-sided butyl tape as needed. o Supply and Install tite-bond weather master sealant. o Supply and Install cobra ridge vent. o Removal and disposal of all current roofing materials and fasteners down to the roofing deck. o Price should include all labor associated with fabricating and install of new roofing. o Daily site cleaning should be included as trash and debris will be expected to be secured and not pose a nuisance to park users and/or adjacent property owner. o Minimum of 6 years of Workmanship Warranty to cover leaks. Warranty is not expected to cover damage caused by storms.
