The major items of work include: Approximately 2,500 LF of street improvements, 3,600 LF of storm drainage improvements, 3,900 SY of sidewalk/trail construction, lighting, landscaping, and other miscellaneous items associated with street construction. Also including approximately 1,400 LF of 8" & 12" water main construction, the relocation of cathodic protection on an existing 36" water main, and other miscellaneous construction. All construction shall be substantially complete within 365 days from Notice to Proceed. No bidder may withdraw a bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The successful bidder must furnish a performance and payment bond upon the form provided in the amount of 100% of the contract price from an approved surety company holding a permit from the State of Arkansas to act as surety, or other surety or sureties acceptable to the Owner. This project will be partially funded with Federal funds from the United States Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration and therefore is subject to the Federal laws and regulations associated with that program. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids. All bidders must be licensed under the terms of Act 150 of the 1965 Acts of the Arkansas Legislature, including subsequent amendments.
