Bids will be awarded based on lowest and/or best bid. The city reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Specifications for the Bell Street Water Dept building are as follows: Base bid. 1. It is the responsibility of the General Contractor to measure and verify the dimensions of the approximately 46,150 building and design and install a pre-engineered gable roof system with a 1/12 roof slope to sit on top of the existing building roof and fasten into the existing bar joists using mechanical fasteners to tie the new system to the existing bar joist system. 2. General Contractor to provide an engineered stamped set of drawings for the Pre-engineered roof system to City of McMinnville. 3. Contractor to use a 3-inch high 24 gauge trapezoidal 24 inch wide galvalume Standing Seam panels. 4. Contractor to provide a Tennessee Licensed Structural Engineered Stamped Letter to the City of McMinnville that the existing building structure is capable of the added weight from the new roof system. 5. Contractor to provide 3-inch white reinforced vinyl fiberglass insulation on the roof and all walls of new system including gable ends of building roof system. 6. All walls and trims to be Kynar standard colored 26-gauge metal with 35-year limited warranty. This would include all new Kynar gutters, downspouts, Rake trims and any other necessary trims to complete this roof system. 7. Contractor to provide and install one 48-inch medium duty Dayton Exhaust fan with 54-inch x 54-inch Aluminum Framed Exhaust Louver and one 54 inch x 54 inch intake louver with motor interconnected to fan control. Electrical to be provided by City of McMinnville. 8. Contractor to provide City of McMinnville with 5 Percent bid bond or Certified Check or Cashier's Check with bid in bid package. 9. Upon award of contract, Contractor to provide City of McMinnville with Payment and Performance Bond 10. Contractor to provide City of McMinnville with State of Tennessee Contractor's License pertaining to bid under the laws of the State of Tennessee on outside of bid envelope. 11. Contractor to provide proof of previous roofing and framing jobs to City of McMinnville if requested by City of McMinnville. 12. Contractor to provide City of McMinnville with Insurance Certificate for Workman's Comp that meets State of Tennessee requirements and General Liability Insurance in the amount of $2,000,000.00 with City of McMinnville listed on Policy. 13. Contractor to provide and install extended life roof screws in this project. 14. Contractor to complete this project within 150 days from signing of contract. 15. All flashing, curbs, gutters, drip edges or other items related to this roofing project are to be replaced with new materials of the same kind.
