1. This is a request for proposals for furnishing labor and materials for general plumbing work within FCPS. Types of work under this contract shall include both new and repair work. This contract shall not include work described exclusively as electrical, concrete, masonry, painting, plastering, and/or roofing. However, one or more of these trades may need to be used as part of the plumbing job being performed. 2. Contractor will arrive at the job site within two (2) hours after notification to perform service calls as directed by the Director for Maintenance or his designated representative. 3. Contract includes plumbing work generally assigned to skilled master plumbers, journeyman plumbers, plumber helpers and certified welders. Contractor is responsible for furnishing skilled labor and tools. Equipment and materials shall be furnished at pricing that is equal to or below pricing available to the general public. 4. Company receiving bid must be an established ongoing entity regularly engaged in plumbing work with an office located in Fayette County. Additionally, company is responsible for total cleanup of all waste materials and must leave the site in a clean and safe condition. 5. Work included under this contract shall be supervised and approved by the FCPS Director of Maintenance or designee. FCPS Director of Maintenance, Dave Mauck, dave.mauck@fayette.kyschools.us. Contract is effective with a preferred beginning date of January 1, 2024 or date of Board approval (whichever is later) through December 31, 2024. Contract may be renewed for four additional one (1)-year terms, up to a total of five (5) years subject to approval of both The Board and successful offeror.
