SCOPE OF WORK 1. Obtain a Local Land Disturbance and Virginia Stormwater Management Program Permit. 2. Install erosion and sediment control measures. 3. Remove existing debris. 4. Install a stream crossing. 5. Construct the Wetland. 6. Stabilize the Wetland. 7. Remove erosion and sediment control measures after site is deemed stabilized. 8. Provide plantings with adequate moisture until fully established per the Technical Specifications Manual pg. 19 - #21 and provide a 1-year replacement warranty per Technical Specification Manual pg. 20 - Section #4 - Warranty. Bidders are responsible for familiarizing themselves with the conditions and objectives of the proposed scope of work. The Bidder shall submit a bid which demonstrates and provides evidence that the Bidder has the capabilities, professional expertise, and experience to perform the work described herein. Emailed questions from Bidders must be received by 5:00 p.m. EDT on October 10, 2023 in order to ensure that the answers can be sent and received by all prospective Bidders for their consideration prior to the due date. Bid Bond issued by a surety company licensed and legally authorized to do business in the Commonwealth of Virginia or Certified Check, made payable to the City and in an amount not less than 5% of the bid amount, shall be required of all Bidders and accompany the bid. Labor and Material Payment Bond and a Performance Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price, including additions or deductions, with a corporate surety authorized to do business in the State of Virginia, rated no less than A VII by A.M. Best, and otherwise acceptable in all respects to the City's Attorney shall be required for the faithful performance of the Contract. The Work shall be completed and ready for final payment within 190 calendar days after the date of the Notice To Proceed (NTP).
