BID For labor to install Underdrain, Media, and Replacement parts in a Trident Tr-420A unit The Proposed Work is generally described as follows: 1) Contractor shall provide labor and necessary tools to complete work as follows. 1. Remove existing ac media, silica sand, garnet and anthracite via Vac-truck and haul to land fill for disposal. 2. Clean tank: this includes any visual defect corrosion, rust etc. 3. Remove old parts gasket strips, media retaining strainer, suction screen strainer, all of the ac media retainers and 18 PVC triton underdrains. 4. Media blasting, coating on up to 5 (five) SOFT of corroded areas inside of tank (if needed) 5. Install Gasket Strip, 240 inch, 0.5 thick x 1.0 wide., 1 side skinned, adhesive on 1 side. Located between the media retainer. 6. Install Media retaining strainer, 42, 0.75 MNPT, 640 Style, located on air laterals-clarifier section. 7. Install Suction screen Strainer, 1, 3 MNPT, 10 mesh drain screen-clarifier section. 8. Install Triton Underdrain, 18, PVC 93" OAL w/3" TRI SEAL. 9. Install Grating 2, AC Media Retainer A, TR-420A 10. Install Grating 1, AC Media Retainer B, TR-420A 11. Quantities shown above are for one (1) filter unit. Existing hold downs, anchors and hardware to be re-used. 12. Media quantities include sufficient volume for skimming and comply with latest AWWA B-100 Std. Media shall consist of hard, durable and dense grain. MSDS to be provide with shipment. 2) Contractor shall supply replacement parts for the existing Trident TR-420A unit for the City of Gainesville, TX. This is for Filter Unit #1 1. Anthracite, 240 ft3, MS-4 2. Silica Sand , 130 ft3, MS-18 3. Garnet, 80ft3, MS-21 4. Ac Media, 280ft3, 50/50 Virgin/R@s-MS 107/MS 110, NSF Approved 5. Gasket Strip, 480 inch, 0.25 thick x 1.5 wide, 1 side skinned, adhesive on 1 side. Located under the media retainer. 6. Gasket Strip, 240 inch, 0.5 thick x 1.0 wide., 1 side skinned, adhesive on 1 side. Located between the media retainer. 7. Media retaining strainer, 42, 0.75 MNPT, 640 Style, located on air laterals-clarifier section. 8. Suction screen Strainer, 1, 3 MNPT, 10 mesh drain screen-clarifier section. 9. Triton Underdrain, 18, PVC 93" OAL w/3" TRI SEAL. 10. Grating 2, AC Media Retainer A, TR-420A 11. Grating 1, AC Media Retainer B, TR-420A 12. Quantities shown above are for one (1) filter unit. Existing hold downs, anchors and hardware to be re-used. 13. Media quantities include sufficient volume for skimming and comply with latest AWWA B-100 Std. Provide a WesTech technician onsite to provide technical support during the removal of existing parts and the installation of the new parts. 15. Project is not to proceed till after 2023 seasonal peak demand is over. This time frame is expected to be late October to first week of November.
