Clarification Requests due: Tuesday, October 17, 2023 The project involves the replacement of the existing 12-inch Kihei No. 3 WWPS Force Main with approximately 2,100 linear feet of 12-inch DR18 Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) C900 pipe, including all fittings and appurtenances; excavation and backfill; connection to the existing sewer system; restoration of existing improvements; and all other incidental work necessary to complete the project. Furnish all labor, material, equipment, and incidentals required to demolish, modify, or alter, existing facilities as shown or specified and as required for the installation of new mechanical, piping, and appurtenances. Remove and dismantle existing piping and equipment as necessary for the performance of structural and piping alterations in accordance with the requirement herein specified. Bid/offer form must be downloaded, filled out, signed, and uploaded with your bid submission, along with a bid bond. Submittals covered by these requirements include manufacturers' information, shop fabrication drawings, test procedures, test results, samples, requests for substitutions, and miscellaneous work-related submittals. Submittals shall also include, but not be limited to, all mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment and systems, materials, reinforcing steel, fabricated items, and piping and conduit details. The Contractor shall furnish all drawings, specifications, descriptive data, certificates, samples, tests, methods, schedules, and manufacturer's installation and other instructions as specifically required in the Contract Documents to demonstrate fully that the materials and equipment to be furnished and the methods of work comply with the provisions and intent of the Contract Documents. This section specifies earthwork which consists of excavation, filling, grading, and disposal of excess material.
