the Beaufort County Department of Parks and Recreation plans to add four pickleball courts and a basketball court at their existing facility located on Battery Creek Rd. In the City of Beaufort. The project consists of four new asphalt pickle ball courts, a basketball court, and related site improvements as shown on the bid documents. Included in the project, but not limited to, Staking, clearing & grubbing, fill, parking lot, concrete sidewalks, fencing, athletic specialties, asphalt pavement, and liquid applied Acrylic cushioned surface system. Color to be selected by Beaufort County Parks & Recreation. Bid Security is attached (if required) in the amount of: 5% of Bid if over $30,000.00. All Bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond drawn in favor of the Beaufort County Treasurer of Beaufort County, Beaufort, South Carolina, in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the bid for the complete work: such Bid Bond representing that the Bidder, if awarded a contract, will promptly enter into a contract and furnish Performance Bond and Payment Bond as provided by law and approved by the attorney for Beaufort County, South Carolina. Each bond shall be equal one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. A copy of the Bid Bond or Certified Check must be electronically sent with your bid documents through Vendor Registry. The work is expected to take one hundred & ninety (190) days after Notice to Proceed is issued. *Beaufort County reserves the right to reject all proposals and to waive minor informalities and irregularities.
