The City of Phoenix is seeking a qualified Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) to provide preconstruction services and complete construction services for the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport Terminal 4 Vertical and Horizontal Transportation System Modernization Phase II project. The selected CMAR will work as a team with the designer of record and City staff to ensure an efficient design approach for the project. The project is located at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport Terminal 4, 3800 E. Sky Harbor Boulevard, Phoenix, AZ 85034. The estimated construction cost is $34 million. A Disadvantaged Business Enterprise goal will be established prior to the start of construction. The modernization and replacement of critical horizontal and vertical transportation systems is part of on-going airport effort to improve terminal operation, enhance passenger experience and work towards achieving zero carbon status. This project (Phase II) as part of this multi-year effort will address the modernization of a mixture of different types of equipment including elevators, escalators and moving walkways. Depending on the type of equipment, modernization can entail a complete replacement of internal components such as moving walkways and escalators, or selective replacement of internal components in the case of elevators. When completed, all equipment is expected to receive a new useful life with updated finishes and new technology. The City of Phoenix reserves the right to reject any or all Statements of Qualifications, to waive any informality or irregularity in any Statement of Qualifications received, and to be the sole judge of the merits of the respective Statements of Qualifications received. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Submit the Statement of Qualifications by 12:00 noon, local time, on Friday, January 12, 2024.
