**As of October 27, 2023 no bids received for this project and will be put out for bid at a later date.** The Village of Round Lake extended the bid date The Village of Round Lake is soliciting proposals for the repair and improvement of the Access Ramp at the Round Lake Village Hall located at 49 Burlington Ave., Round Lake, NY 12151 The work will entail repair of the existing concrete ramp and replacement of the existing ramp railing The Village Board of the Village of Round Lake reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received and to reject any or all bids without explanation. Proposals from bidders who do not meet with the Village to review the scope of work will not be considered. 1. Photos depicting some of the existing conditions of the access ramp are presented in Attachment A. A video depicting the existing access ramp can be viewed at the following link: https://youtu.be/350hTni4NwY 2. Bidders are required to visit the project site to familiarize themselves with all existing conditions that will impact pricing for the scope of work. Refer to General Conditions for additional site visit information. 3. Access Ramp Concrete Repairs: o Ramp Top Slab: Repair any deteriorated portions of the existing concrete access ramp top slab. o Ramp Foundation: Remove areas of failing cementitious parging from existing above grade foundation wall back to sound substrate (typ. both sides of ramp and landing). Patch areas of the failing cementitious parging to create a smooth and level surface (typ. both sides of ramp and landing). Finish with a topcoat on the entirety (ramp and landing) of the exposed above grade foundation wall. o Concrete Stairs: Repair and/or replace deteriorated portions of the existing concrete stairs on the east side of the ramp. o Clean and seal the entirety of the access ramp top slab and exposed above grade foundations walls after repairs are made. Clean, repair and seal all cracks prior to sealing. o Refer to technical specification presented in Attachment B for concrete repair requirements. 4. Ramp Railing: o Remove ALL existing iron handrails, guiderails and railings on the access ramp, landings and stairs. Remove all railing anchor hardware. All sleeves in which the existing railing is set into the top of the ramp top slab shall be cleaned out and filled with concrete repair mortar. o Replace existing access ramp, landing, and stairs handrail and railing with new 3'-7" tall (top of guiderail) iron access ramp railing. Existing railing to replaced in-kind with new railing of similar construction. o New 3'-6" tall iron guiderail/railing shall have 1/2 " diameter to 3/4 " sq. pickets @ 4" o.c. and a 1-/12" inbound handrail. New railing/guiderail shall terminate 3'-7" above the top existing ramp top slab. New inbound handrail shall terminate 2'-10" above the top of the existing ramp top slab. Submitted shop drawings of new railing to Village prior to manufacturing for review and approval. o The new railing shall be anchored into the top of the exiting top slab using new 1/2" diameter stainless steel anchor bolts or 1/2" threaded rods. Anchor bolts/threaded rods shall be epoxied into the top slab. Concrete anchors shall be Hilt Kwik Bolt TZ2 Wedge anchor, or equal. All anchor bolts shall be HAS-V-36 HDG Anchor rod, or equal and be anchored into slab using Hilti HY200-A epoxy, or equal. o New railing, railing base plates, handrails, spindles, top rail, anchor bolts, and accessories shall be painted black with Sherwin Williams Direct-to-Metal Alkyd Enamel. Provide all preparation as recommended by the manufacturer.
