This contract provides for the construction and installation of potable water lines. This contract shall include all necessary labor, materials, equipment, tools barricading, traffic control and superintendence required for the complete and operable construction of the utilities as shown on the contract plans and within the specification. Construction will occur within easements, county road rights of way, or TxDOT right of way. Base Bid Island Boulevard from Rainbow Boulevard to the end of the street approximately 2,297 LF. Rainbow Boulevard from Island Boulevard to N. Crystal Beach Road, approximately 387 LF. N. Crystal Beach Road from HWY 87 to the end of the street, approximately 2,886 LF. Diamond Road from HWY 87 to the end of the street, approximately 3,270 LF. Mom's Road from HWY 87 to S. Crystal Beach Road, approximately 2,000 LF. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a bid guarantee of not less than 5% of total bid amount, as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into a contract and execute the required bonds within ten days after notice of award The successful bidder must furnish Performance Bond and Payment Bond on the forms provided in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total contract price from a Surety or other Sureties acceptable to the Owner. Owner reserves the right to award the contract at any time within sixty (60) days after bid opening. The successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, or national origin All questions about the meaning or intent ofthe Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than five (5) work days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect.
