This bid is subject to M.G.L. c. 30B 5. The City of Springfield, through its Department of Capital Asset Construction, is seeking bids from qualified vendors to enter into an on-call service agreement for Material Testing and Inspection Services. Multiple qualified vendors may be awarded one-year contracts, but will contain two (2) one-year in length renewal options, to be exercised at the City's sole discretion, for an estimated value of $250,000.00/year per vendor. All questions must be made in writing and received by the Office of Procurement no later than 8/28/23 at 4:30 PM in order to be considered (nwalker@springfieldcityhall.com). The selected vendor will be responsible for testing and inspection services including but not limited to: a. Engineering services as required b. Concrete c. Structural steel, including reinforcing steel, metal decking and joist d. Masonry, mortar rout e. Bituminous concrete f. Roofing The work of this agreement is governed by the prevailing wage rate schedule in the specifications. The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women (MWBE) participation in all contracts. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all proposals if it is in the public interest to do so.
