BIDS are invited for the 2023 LSA & MTF Inlet and Manhole Replacement Briefly, the work includes the replacement of 63 storm inlets and 30 storm manholes, pavement restoration and miscellaneous work, all as provided for within the contract documents, bid form and on the project drawings. Contract Documents, Including Drawings and Technical Specifications Are on File at the Office of Penneastern Engineers, LLC 165 North Wilkes-barre Boulevard, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702. BID SECURITY in the amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total bid shall be submitted with each bid, in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Performance, Payment, and Maintenance Bonds are required by the successful bidder for each contract. The project is funded by grants from the Local Share Account (LSA) Program Grant and Multimodal Transportation Fund (MTF) Grant from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Commonwealth Financing Authority and all requirements of this Authority are to be met by the Bidders. Prospective bidders are urged to familiarize themselves with the site and review the scope of work and construction documents. Any contractor, who does not do so and submits a bid, does so at his own risk. The bidders attention is called to the fact that the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act and the Pennsylvania Public Works Employment Verification Act apply to this Contract if the estimated cost of the project is in excess of $25,000. Plymouth Borough does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, religion, age, disability, familial status in employment or the provisions of services. Plymouth Borough is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer. Plymouth Borough reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any and all informalities in the Bidding. Bids may be held by the Plymouth Borough Council for a period of not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of the opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids prior to awarding the Contract. In this period of time, no Bidder may withdraw his Bid.
