The City of Greer is requesting bids from experienced General Contractors for demolition of one (1) structure. All information for square footage, utilities, etc. is available on the Structure 3 Information sheets attached. This is an accessory structure and is exempt from abatement. All information for square footage, utilities, etc. is available on the Structure 3 Information sheets attached. This is an accessory structure and is exempt from abatement. Demolition Requirements: Awarded contractor will be required to demolish structure and clean up all debris on the property. Slab, driveways, sidewalks and other parking areas may be left as long as they do not constitute a hazard to the public. This includes the remaining foundation for the house which is to remain. The site is to be graded in order to prevent the accumulation of standing water. Interested contractors must include the installation of seed and straw for site stabilization with their bid. Awarded contractor must obtain demolition permits from the City of Greer Building & Development Standards Department. Construction hours must adhere to 6:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. The awarded contractor is responsible for all dust and traffic control measures. All debris are to be hauled to an approved landfill and trip tickets must be provided to the City. Interested parties shall propose a lump sum for this work using the attached Bid Sheet for your submittal. The proposed lump sum shall be inclusive of all labor, material, equipment, overhead, permits and licenses, abatement, and profit attributable to the scope of work. Demolition Timeframe: Demolition of the property must be completed within sixty (60) days from date of award. Additional Requirements: 1. All work specified in the job requirements must be performed by the Company that is awarded the agreement by the City of Greer. No sub-contractors can be used to perform the job requirements other than those needed to make required utility terminations. This would not pertain to outside haulers as long as the main demolition work is completed by the awarded company. 2. Company's personnel must be trained and certified to operate equipment in a safe manner and knowledgeable in requirements of demolition safety. 3. All interested contractors must supply with their bid a certificate of insurance stating the coverage limits carried for General Liability Insurance and Worker's Compensation Insurance as well as naming City of Greer as additional insured.
