The Town of Estill is issuing a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to identify a qualified civil engineer to provide a full range of engineering services to support the implementation of the Wastewater Improvements. These services will be provided under contract with the Town of Estill, with funding provided by the South Carolina Rural Infrastructure Authority (RIA) through the RIA State Grant # R-23-C067. The SCIIP funding will be used to make wastewater improvements. The proposed project will consist of four components that are to be completed as one project. The four components consist of: (1) replacing a 2,6000 LF 18-inch gravity line to connect to a new doghouse manhole, (2) replacing pump station 2 with necessary upgrades, (3) replacing a 4,800 LF 6-inch gravity line to connect with existing connections, and (4) installing a 60 KVA diesel generator on a concrete slab. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time. Execution of Contract: October 26, 2023, estimated. As of August 22, 2023, design completion is expected by January 10, 2024. Bid advertisement will be February 27, 2024. Construction is expected to begin April 29, 2024, and completion April 28, 2025.
