This project provides for the reconstruction of curb ramps at various intersections along SE May Creek Park Drive and 116th Avenue SE. Other work includes removal of existing concrete ramps, curbs, and sidewalks, replacement of cement concrete ramps, curb, gutter and sidewalks, sawcutting, HMA pavement patches, surface restoration, traffic control, and other work, all in accordance with the Contract Plans, these Contract Provisions, and the Standard Specifications. Engineer's Estimate is $225,000. The work shall be completed within thirty-five (35) working days after the commencement date stated in the Notice to Proceed. The City of Newcastle expressly reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals and to waive minor irregularities or informalities and to Award the Project to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder as it best serves the interests of the City. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or surety company bid bond, on a form acceptable to the City, from a State-licensed Surety Company as surety, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid amount, payable to the City of Newcastle. A one hundred percent (100%) Contract Bond must be submitted by the Successful Low Bidder (herein after "Contractor").
