The Project consists of approximately 2,600-lf of new 18" sewer pipe adjacent Back Creek and tributary to Back Creek through Starkey Parks. Three (3) stream crossings via horizontal directional drilling are proposed across a tributary to Back Creek. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a unit price basis as indicated in the Bid Form. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Minority Owned Businesses (MBE's) Women Owned Businesses (WBE's) are encouraged to respond. Questions are Due August 31. Installation of approximately 5,130-lf of new 18" sewer pipe adjacent Merriman Road, Commonwealth Drive, Norfolk Southern rail, Back Creek and tributary through Starkey Parks, including directional drilling and bore & jack for road and stream crossings. Bidders are referred to the Code of Virginia 54.1-1100 et seq. for contractor requirements. Bidders shall provide evidence of authorization to transact business in the Commonwealth of Virginia by providing the identification number issued to Bidder by the State Corporation Commission in accordance with the Code of Virginia 2.2-4311.2, Title 13.1, Title 50, or as otherwise required by law.
