Work to be performed includes: removing the original slate as needed to replace underlayment and flashings with copper at all hips, ridges, valleys and wall flashings; replacing any damaged or broken slate with Buckingham slate to match existing (original slate to be re-used to the fullest extent possible); removing the flat roof coverings down to solid decking or trusses and replacing with a sloped roof system to allow water to flow to the gutters; and painting the steeple, cornice and associated trim on or around the roof.
