Three Rivers Health District is seeking bids to construct, renovate, and/or remodel the front office reception area to increase security measures at the Lancaster County Health Department located at 9049 Mary Ball Road, Lancaster, VA 22503. The intent of the solicitation is to have the contractor under consideration specifically address the services required to provide a well-structured and secure reception area which will include: construction, demolition, repair, installation, trimming, painting and various other duties. Detailed project specifications will be provided at the mandatory site visit listed herein. Accurate measurements can be taken at that time. Services to be provided; but are not limited to the following: Construct new walls at reception area making the area separate and secure from the lobby. This includes but is not limited to the following: Demolish existing 20ft long half wall and construct a new full wall from floor to ceiling Half wall currently used for WIC intake window needs to be enclosed from floor to ceiling Enclose window space at new file room and window space at new conference room to create fully enclosed walls. (Measurements can be obtained at the site visit) New walls must be built according to building code to include sheet rock, paint and trimming. Install 2 interior doors with frames Move existing 12ft counter forward or demolish and rebuild front counter/desk in new location. Front desk must include floor to ceiling wall enclosure with two service windows approximately 3'x 3' with an ADA compliant service desk. All work must be completed on weekends or after normal business hours of Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. It is a requirement that this project be completed no later than Nov. 10, 2023. If this date is not attainable, written reasons need to be submitted with bid submission. Three Rivers Health District will determine if the reasons given are acceptable for the requirements of the project. Bids will only be accepted from those Bidders who attend the scheduled site visit. Each attendee will be evidenced by the representative's name on the visitor roster and the submission of a business card of the attending representative that matches the representative's photo ID. Visiting representatives MUST be employees of the bidding entity in order for the bid to be accepted. Contractors who are mailing their proposals should allow sufficient time for mail delivery to ensure receipt by the time specified. No proposals will be accepted after the due date. Faxed or e-mail proposals will not be accepted. Three Rivers Health District reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities in the proposals received whenever such rejection or waiver is in the best interest of the Virginia Department of Health and/or Three Rivers Health District. Three Rivers Health District intends to make a selection within five (5) working days after the closing date of receipt of bids. No inquires will be accepted during the evaluation period.
