For your convenience, a Bid Drop-Off box is located in the lobby at 1 Courthouse Square, Carthage, NC 28327 (Historic Courthouse). The Project consists of the installation of approximately 3,700 feet of 30" PVC / DIP gravity sewer, 120 feet of PVC gravity sewer, and all associated manholes to replace the existing 24" gravity sewer interceptor located near the Pinehurst #7 Golf Course. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the prospective Bidder's date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The new deadline for questions is 10:00 am on Tuesday, August 8th, 2023. All questions must be submitted to Ms. Tara Vuncannon at tvuncannon@moorecountync.gov. The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: LKC Engineering, PLLC, located at 140 Aqua Shed Court, Aberdeen, NC 28315, 910-420-1437. Prospective Bidders may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below. Contractor shall furnish a performance bond and a payment bond, each in an amount at least equal to the Contract Price, as security for the faithful performance and payment of all of Contractors obligations under the Contract. A Bid must be accompanied by Bid security made payable to Owner in an amount of 5% percent of Bidders maximum Bid price (determined by adding the base bid and all alternates) and in the form of a certified check Substantial Completion is 180 days, and the calendar days to readiness for final payment is 210 days. The new deadline for questions is 10:00 am on Tuesday, August 8th, 2023. All questions must be submitted to Ms. Tara Vuncannon at tvuncannon@moorecountync.gov.
