Street Striping shall include, but limited to: painting of traffic lanes, bicycle lanes, guidelines, application of thermoplastic messages and marking and their traffic markings as designated and/or required by the City of Chowchilla Work to be performed on various streets in the City of Chowchilla, County of Madera including restriping the City of Chowchilla Municipal Airport (runway, taxiway, and tie-down spaces). Contractor shall furnish all materials, equipment, tools, transportation and other incidentals necessary to complete the work. Quantities are unknown and given for the purpose of comparing proposals. The City does not expressly or by implication agree that the actual amount of work will correspond with quantities given herein, but reserves the right to increase or decrease the amount of any portion as deemed necessary or advisable by the City Engineer or designee. Unless otherwise specified, payment will be based upon the actual quantities or constructed. Such guarantee will be forfeited should the bidder to whom the contract is awarded fail to enter into the contract. Pursuant to the Contract Documents, the successful bidder will be required to furnish a Payment (Labor and Material) Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Sum, and a Faithful Performance Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Sum, as set forth in the Contract Documents. Owner reserves the right to approve or reject the surety insurer selected by Contractor and to require Contractor to obtain a bond from a surety insurer satisfactory to the Owner.
