The project generally consists of the construction of mass grading and storm drainage of 50+ acres in the Tidewaters Industrial Park to prepare the site for a logistics and transportation company. Bids must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bid Bond in the amount of not less than ten (10%) percent of the Bid, as a guarantee that the Bidder, if awarded the Contract, will within ten (10) days after written notice having been given of such award, enter into a written contract with the McIntosh County IDA in accordance with the accepted proposal. The majority of the work to be done for this project is the construction of Site Improvements and does require a licensed utility contractor to submit a bid. No Bids may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the request of bids for a period of sixty (60) days. Separate Payment and Performance Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract will be required. bid bonds, performance and payment bonds, insurance contracts and certificates of insurance shall be either executed by or countersigned by a licensed resident agent of the surety or insurance company, having his place of business in the State of Georgia, and in all ways complying with the insurance laws of the State of Georgia. The McIntosh County IDA reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities, to re-advertise, and/or to award the contract in the best interests of the Authority.
