The Monroe County College and Career Academy and Freshman Campus is an approximate 75,000 square foot building with classrooms, science classrooms, gymnasium, CTAE labs, administration space, dining and a kitchen. The structure will be concrete slab on grade, load bearing masonry walls, partial steel frame, with bar joist and metal deck. The roof will be low sloped with TPO or another low slope roof system. It will have concrete block walls with a brick veneer. The floor finish will be LVT or polished concrete. There will be roof top units and other standard HVAC systems. A new drive is also planned connecting this school with Hwy. 41 and Mary Persons High School. The location is just to the north of the cemetery that is just to the north of Mary Persons High School. The Field House is an approximate 29,000 square foot two story building and will have a weight room, varsity and Jr. varsity locker rooms, training room, equipment room, coaches office, film rooms, large meeting room and large and small viewing rooms for game day. The structure will be concrete slab on grade, steel frame, with bar joist and metal deck. The roof will be low sloped with TPO or another low slope roof system. The walls will be concrete block and have a brick veneer. The floor finish will be LVT or polished concrete and other appropriate finishes. The HVAC will have several roof mounted units to accommodate spaces that will be used at different times of the day and at a variety of times during the year. The location will be where the present field house and 9th grade gym are now.(just north of Dan Pitts stadium) The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all submittals and to waive technicalities and informalities.
