Sealed bids for the Asbestos Abatement at Kies Recreation Center, 155 E. St. Charles Rd., Elmhurst, Illinois 60126 By submission of bid it is understood that the Bidder has satisfied this mandatory requirement. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Guarantee in the form of a Bid Bond from a company with an A-1 best rating, in the amount equal to not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid and made payable to Elmhurst Park District, 375 W. First St., Elmhurst, IL 60126. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after the bid opening date without the consent of the Owner. Checks or drafts of unsuccessful bidders will be returned as soon as possible as practicable after opening and checking the bids. Successful bidder must provide a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond in the full amount of the Contract, acceptable to the Owner. This is a State of Illinois/DuPage County prevailing wage project. General Contractors and Subcontractors performing work on this project are solely responsible for determining the applicable prevailing wage rates at the time of the bid submission and performance of the work.
