Mechanical Contractors are invited to submit PRE-QUALIFICATION information for the replacement of heating and domestic hot water (DHW) boilers, at 247 Franklin Street. Kitchener. The property at 247 Franklin St. Kitchener consists of two (2) existing 3- Storey Long Term Care (LTC) Home Regional Facilities staff manage the buildings operations with approximately 240 residential rooms, common areas, administrate office, cafeterias and a variety of other space to serve the needs of the residents. Constructed in 2003, the existing boiler plant has reached the end of its life cycle. The project involved replacement of the existing gas boilers in the basement of the Sunnyside LTC with new high efficiency condensing boilers. Currently, two (2) of the boilers serve the DHW and three (3) boilers heat the building. Work iwll involve removing existing systems, rework piping, installing vertical exhaust vents from the basement to the roof, as well as mechanical, electrical and other trade related work.
