The following provides a brief summary of work described within the contract, but is not intended to have any force or effect upon the actual contract documents themselves. Briefly and without force and effect upon the contract documents, the work of the Contract can be summarized as follows 1. The Work of the Contract generally consist of a. Replacement of existing standby generator with new natural-gas powered standby generator, replacement of screenings conveyor, replacement of wastewater treatment lagoon baffle curtains, and miscellaneous electrical improvements at the wastewater treatment facility in Garden City, Alabama. A. Work under this item of the Contract shall include the furnishing of all labor, material, equipment, supplies, and services necessary to construct and install the complete electrical systems, including exterior and interior of buildings as shown on the drawings and specified herein. B. The Contractor shall base his proposal on the materials specified herein and on the drawings. Reference to a particular product by the manufacturer, trade name, or catalog number establishes the quality standards of materials and equipment required for this installation and is not intended to exclude products equal in quality and similar in design. Where two or more designations are listed, choice shall be optional with the Contractor. The Engineer reserves the sole right to decide the equality of materials proposed for use in lieu of those specified. Plans and specifications are for viewing purposes only and in order to be considered an official bidder contractors must obtain plans and specifications from Goodwyn Mills & Cawood LLC. PLEASE NOTE: The estimated value listed for this project is for searchability purposes only and does not reflect the actual construction budget as determined by the owner. It should not be used for estimation purposes at this time. *The project consists of headworks screening conveyor replacement; lagoon baffle curtains and electrical improvements.* Guarantee will be required with each bid for at least 5% of the amount of the bid filed in the form of a certified check, Bid Bond, or irrevocable Letter of Credit acceptable to the owner payable to the Town of Garden City All bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope bearing on the outside the name of the Bidder, Bidder's license number, license expiration date, category, address and name of the project. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities, or to reject any or all bids, and to award the contract to the lowest, most responsive and responsible bidder.
