This Work is for Accelerated Repairs on State Route 3101 Over Interstate 80 in Butler Township, Luzerne County, in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The Work is Necessary to Correct a Subsidence Due to a Collapsed 60 Pipe Under the Fill Near the Abutment and Wings on the North Side of the Bridge. The Failed Pipe Created a Void Under the Wingwall, and the Stream Carried by the Pipe Washed Out Additional Material Causing Further Subsidence. The Pipe is Plugged With Material, and the Stream is Currently Pump Bypassed Around the Failed Pipe. There is Also a Pipe Under Fill Near the Abutment and Wings on the South Side of the Bridge That is Failing and Requires Repairs. Sr 3101 is Currently Closed as a Precaution Until Repairs Can Be Made.
