Industrial Doors & Gates include the Door/Gate, Supporting Systems, Controls, Operators, Power, Safety Devices, and any associated equipment. That is, the entire Door/Gate system. The scope of work includes the maintenance and repairs of two hundred and thirty-seven (237) City-owned Industrial Doors & Gates at various locations throughout the City of Glendale. Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to maintain proper and reliable operation of all Industrial Doors & Gates (see Exhibit L). The Contractor shall provide preventive maintenance services in accordance with the frequency indicated in Exhibit F. The Contractor shall maintain all Industrial Doors & Gates per manufacturer's requirements, industry standards, OSHA, Local Building Code, and per equipment type best practices. The Services described in this IFB and in the proposed Contract are for a period of five (5) years, beginning on October 1, 2023 and ending on September 30, 2028. The City must receive the Request for Clarification on or before 3PM on July 24, 2023. Site Walkthrough Event: All contractors planning to attend the mandatory Job Walk shall RSVP by 4PM on July 17 by email to bsojobi@glendaleca.gov. The Services in this IFB are subject to the provisions of California Labor Code Section 1720 and 1720.2. The successful Bidder awarded a Contract and all subcontractors of any tier must not pay less than the minimum prevailing rate of per diem wages for each craft, classification, or type of worker needed to perform the Services. At its expense, a Bidder must obtain and submit with its Bid a "Bid Bond" ("bond") or a Cashier's Check ("check") drawn on a solvent bank, payable to the City of Glendale, for Ten Percent (10%) of Base Bid At its expense, the successful Bidder must obtain and furnish a Performance Bond and a Labor/Materials (Payment) Bond, using the form[s] attached to the IFB, in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the annual dollar value of the Contract price.
