The City of Reading reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids, and to accept or reject any part of a bid, as may be in the public interest. Each proposal shall be accompanied by bid surety in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the proposal. A certified check or bid bond will be accepted. Question Deadline 08/08/2023 at 2:00 PM ET The Work shall include, but not necessarily be limited to, furnishing all materials, performing all labor and constructing the following, complete in place: A. MOBILIZATION AND DEMOLITION 1. Mobilize equipment, personnel and materials to the project site as necessary to construct the project improvements. Includes all associated travel, fuel, rental, and other associated fees, meeting contract general conditions requirements (including bonds and insurance), and demobilization upon project completion. Includes provision of a job site trailer and portable toilet. Trailer may be placed in the identified Material Storage area or in the adjacent Masano Auto parking lot. Includes providing temporary security fencing at the Reading Truck Group entrance area, as needed. Includes construction stakeout, project management, and project scheduling; clean up and removal of any construction debris, waste, excess materials, etc.; and all start up and close out costs. It will be paid in multiple installments over the life of the project. (Lump Sum) 2. Furnish, install, and maintain all temporary erosion and sedimentation control measures as per the approved Erosion and Sediment Control Plan, as indicated, for the duration of the project. Includes resolving any issues identified by the OWNER and/or the Berks County Conservation District and/or the ENGINEER. Includes removal of all temporary erosion control measures at the conclusion of the Work.
