Library Norwest Branch Roofing Replacement Project for the City of Reading, Attention is called to the fact that Davis-Bacon Act prevailing wage rates must be paid by the contractor and that employees shall not be discriminated against because of race, color, age, religion, sex or national origin. The Project is subject to the Build America, Buy America Act (BABAA) requirements under Title IX of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act ("IIJA"), Pub. L. 177-58. Absent an approved waiver, all iron, steel, manufactured products, and construction materials used in this project must be produced in the United States, as further outlined by the Office of Management and Budget's Memorandum M-22-11, Initial Implementation Guidance on Application of Buy America Preference in Federal Financial Assistance Programs for Infrastructure, April 18, 2022 The City of Reading reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids, and to accept or reject any part of a bid, as may be in the public interest. Funding for this project is from the City of Reading's Community Development Block Grant Bid security, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid price shall accompany each proposal. This bid security may be a Certified or Cashier's Check, or a bid bond furnished by a surety company, satisfactory to the City of Reading. The successful bidder, upon award of contract, shall furnish at the time of execution of the same, a Maintenance Bond, Payment Bond, and Performance Bond by a surety company acceptable to the City of Reading, in an amount equal to ONE HUNDRED PERCENT (100%) Question Deadline 07/17/2023 at 4:00 PM ET The bidders are herewith cautioned that the time of completion shall be by October 27, 2023
