This project involves the construction of a new landfill Cell at the Dickinson Landfill facility. The Cell will be constructed adjacent landfill Cell 3B-4 requiring connections to existing leachate pipe(s) and geomembrane liner. The project scope of work consists of mobilization; approximately 222,000 CY of common excavation, 56,300 CY of re-compacted clay barrier layer placement, 20,300 SY of 60 mil. HDPE geomembrane installation, 7,600 CY of sand drainage layer placement, installation of 3,381 LF of leachate collection and cleanout piping (size varies) to support landfill operations, and related items. Bidders on this work will be required to comply with American Iron and Steel requirements of the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2014. The requirements for bidders and contractors under this regulation are explained in the specifications. Bidders are required to comply with Davis-Bacon prevailing wage requirements. Any lead service line replacements conducted under this project must replace the entire lead service line, not just a portion, unless a portion has already been replaced or is concurrently being replaced with another funding source. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on Thursday January 4, 2024 at 1:30 PM MT at the City of Dickinson Public Works facility located at: 3411 Public Works Blvd Dickinson, ND 58601 The meeting will also be available virtually via MS Teams. A meeting invitation will be sent to Planholders that download the Contract Documents prior to the meeting date. Attendance/participation in the pre-bid meeting is highly encouraged. The Project Engineer will provide a detailed summary of the Project components to further the Contractors understanding of the Project. An escorted site visit will follow the Project Engineer's project summary for individuals that attend the meeting in-person.
