The Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority ("SORTA") is a regional transit authority organized and operating under Section 306.30 et seq. of the Ohio Revised Code. As such, it is a political subdivision of the State of Ohio. SORTA provides both fixed-route mass transportation services and paratransit services. SORTA provides service to the city of Cincinnati, Hamilton County Ohio, and parts of Butler, Clermont, and Warren Counties. SORTA operates 46 fixed routes. SORTA provides both fixed-route mass transportation and paratransit services through approximately 300 city-type transit buses and 50 paratransit vehicles. In order to better serve and expand Metro's ridership, SORTA create a site plan that expands the capacity of the Glenway Transit Center (GTC) located on Glencrossing Way. The GTC is the main transfer location on the west side of Cincinnati as well as one of the busiest hubs (over 1,000 riders a day) in the SORTA bus system. Currently GTC does not have the physical infrastructure to handle the number of buses or passengers served at the transit center each day. To relieve congestion and improve operational efficiency at the transit center, SORTA will transition to using assigned bays for each route at the transit center. SORTA has prepared for expansion at the Glenway Transit Center by recently acquiring part of a parcel to the north of the existing location. Question Submission Deadline: July 26, 2023, 2:00pm The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
