The Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority (SORTA) is issuing this Invitation to Bid (IFB) to alter, upgrade and construct on 2.3 acres of the existing SORTA Access Bus Garage property located at 1801 Transpark Drive, Cincinnati, OH 45229. Project includes site work, concrete and asphalt pavement, drainage structure modifications, forty-two (42) ten (10) passenger van covered parking spots along with replacement of the existing fuel island and all other work as per A&E documents produced by R.E. Warner (REW) dated March 14, 2023. The Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority ("SORTA") is a regional transit authority organized and operating under Section 306.30 et seq. of the Ohio Revised Code. As such, it is a political subdivision of the State of Ohio. SORTA provides both fixed-route mass transportation services and paratransit services. SORTA provides service to the city of Cincinnati, Hamilton County Ohio, and parts of Butler, Clermont, and Warren Counties. SORTA operates 46 fixed routes. SORTA provides both fixed-route mass transportation and paratransit services through approximately 300 city-type transit buses and 50 paratransit vehicles. The work of the project is defined by the A&E documents and partially consist of the following: Removal & replacement of two (2) existing diesel islands and dispensers. Addition of two (2) gasoline fuel islands and dispensers. Addition of one (1) 10,000 gallon above ground gasoline storage tank. Paving of existing grass area for the island expansion and additional parking. Removal of existing fuel island canopy and light pole. Site grading and drainage improvements. Construction of three (3) new metal canopy structures.
