As of Aug 21, 2023 the project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established . Work within the South Unit includes earthen dike rehabilitation including reshaping of side slopes, increasing the height of the dikes, construction of an aggregate surface, and slope restoration. The feeder channel from Houghton Lake to the pump station impoundment basin shall be dredged. The existing pump station along with piping and supports will be demolished and removed from the site. A new pump station including wet well, reinforced fiberglass enclosure with foundations, debris chamber, grating, handrails, piping, valves and supports, pump, and electrical components shall be constructed. The existing concrete control structures shall be demolished and removed from the site and replaced with a new concrete control structure with wooden stop logs. NORTH UNIT Work within the North Unit includes earthen dike rehabilitation including reshaping of side slopes, increasing the height of the dikes, construction of an aggregate surface, and slope restoration. Removal and replacement of a concrete headwall with toplogs water control structure with a 48-inch diameter pipe. Construction of two new 4- space gravel parking areas.
