This Design/Build project is to design and replace the existing overhead power line B in its entirety along Static Road at Kennedy Space Center. The work entails designing and then performing the removal of all the wooden poles and replacing them with new concrete poles and new power lines designed and constructed to Florida Power & Light (FPL) standards, the Florida Building Code, and the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC). The project also includes the design and removal of various underground runs of 15KV PILC cable and replacing them with 15KV EPR type cable (less than 2500 linear feet), and removing Load Break Switches (LBS's) 40, 41, 42, and 43. Provide the design and installation of new 15KV fuse cutouts to refeed transformers SS 192, SS107, and SS195. The total power line length is approximately 4.1 miles and runs the entire length of Static Test Road (located on the east side of the road about 25' away from the pavement). The total number of wooden poles to be removed is approximately 148 (to be verified during design). The Period of Performance (PoP) for the construction effort is 490 Calendar Days from Notice to Proceed (NTP).
