Asha Edwards can be reached at 954-797-2205, Monday through Friday, 8AM to 4:30PM, Email: AEdwards@plantation.org The City is soliciting services for two (2) new playground areas within Seminole Park (6600 SW 16th Street, Plantation, FL.) & Jack Carter Harmony Park (1301 SW 54th Ave, Plantation FL.). The purpose of this solicitation is to contract with a qualified vendor to provide an all-inclusive project to furnish and install playground equipment, safety surfacing, shade structures, walkways, and perimeter fencing that meets all CPSC specifications and appropriate codes. Estimated lump sum cost for both projects is $425,000.00. Bid Bond - Required (5%) Public Construction Bond - Required (100%) liquidated damages. In the event of any violation of the clause set forth in paragraph (A) of this section the contractor and any subcontractor responsible therefor shall be liable for the unpaid wages. In addition, such contractor and subcontractor shall be liable to the United States (in the case of work Current as of 1-9-17 6 done under contract for the District of Columbia or a territory, to such District or to such territory), for liquidated damages. Such liquidated damages shall be computed with respect to each individual laborer or mechanic, including watchmen and guards, employed in violation of the clause set forth in paragraph (A) of this section, in the sum of $10 for each calendar day on which such individual was required or permitted to work in excess of the standard workweek of forty hours without payment of the overtime wages required by the clause set forth in paragraph (A) of this section.
