The work of the contract comprises, but is not limited to, furnishing all labor and associated materials and equipment for the replacement of existing water meters to include field installation, system implementation, restoration and conversion of existing AMR system to a new Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) Cellular metering system for 3,575 water meters ranging in sizes from 3/4 " - 2". The Scope also includes providing accurate data to the City for all meter replacements in an Excel file or other format acceptable to the City. This data is to include final meter reads as well as all information pertinent to new meter installations. City will ensure Contractor is familiarized with the necessary data expected. Dual check valve replacement will only apply to residential accounts. Water meter box replacement will be performed as needed to ensure proper installation of the meter end point reading system, removal of existing meter boxes, any maintenance of traffic, trench/roadway/concrete/sidewalk restoration as needed, complete site restoration including earthwork, compaction of sod, and all other appurtenances necessary for a complete project.
