Reference Number 0000324145 The scope of work for this project shall include an asphalt mill and overlay of 3.4 miles of roadway on County Road 501 from approximately mile marker 16.2 to mile marker 19.6 (refer to the Bid Sheet for actual bid quantities). The full length of roadway will be milled a depth of 1". This is to be followed by two (2x) lifts of asphalt paving, 2-inches thick each. The existing road width is 22 feet with variable width gravel shoulders. Shoulders shall be reconstructed. Asphalt pavement aprons at all driveways are to be included at 6 feet deep by 2 inches single lift. There are approximately 48 aprons with an average length of 58 feet. Road base failure if encountered shall be repaired prior to paving. Traffic control will consist of single-lane traffic and shall include a pilot car. Temporary centerline striping shall be completed at the end of each working day. La Plata County is seeking bids from qualified contractors for an asphalt mill and overlay of 3.4 miles of roadway on County Road 501 from approximately mile marker 16.2 to mile marker 19.6.
