Bid is cancelled. Marion County Facilities Management is seeking bids from qualified contractors for the replacement of cabinets/millwork in the Booking and Infirmary areas at the Marion County Jail. Marion County Facilities Management desires to engage a qualified contractor for replacement of cabinets/millwork at the Marion County Jail. The successful bidder shall provide labor and materials to remove and replace cabinets and/or millwork in the Booking and Infirmary areas of the Marion County Jail. The existing cabinets have become damaged and are no longer usable in their current condition. It is our desire to have the existing cabinets removed, the area treated by a pest control company, and new cabinets installed in their place. The material used to construct the new cabinets should also be treated for pests before the cabinets are assembled. The areas of the Jail where these cabinets and counter tops are located are vital to Jail Operations and must remain in use by Jail Staff at all times, as such this work must be completed in phases. Marion County Facilities will perform the removal and re-installation of all plumbing and electrical components. Marion County Sheriff's Office IT personnel will perform the removal and reinstallation of all low-voltage/data components. The successful bidder will be responsible for the removal and disposal of the existing cabinets, treatment of the area, and the manufacture and installation of the new cabinets. The new cabinets and counter tops should match the design and layout of the existing cabinets and counter tops. This is a like for like change due to damage and no design changes will be made. However, Marion County will evaluate value adding suggestions from all submitting contractors TERM: 120 calendar days to SC + 10 calendar days to FC Time to Completion o Substantial Completion - 120 Days from Notice to Proceed o Final Completion - 10 Days beyond Substantial Completion Date Bid Bond, acceptable to the Board of County Commissioners; or a Cashier's Check (Bid Security) payable to the Marion County Board of County Commissioners in the total amount of five percent (5%) of the total base bid amount shall accompany any bid. A Bid Bond/Bid Security constitutes a pledge by the Bidder that upon award, he will enter into a Contract with the Owner on the terms stated in his Bid. Bid securities of all bidders will be returned upon execution of contracts by the awarded firm. Retainage, at the using department's discretion (excluding construction which is required), up to five percent (5%) of progress payments for a project as a result of this contract may be withheld until Final Payment.
