The City of Ames is accepting proposals from qualified vendors for replacement of the HVAC system for the controls room at the Power Plant for the Electric Department. All responses must be submitted before the deadline. No late responses will be reviewed. No bidder may withdraw their proposal for at least sixty (60) days after the scheduled closing time for receiving proposals. The City of Ames reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive informalities, and to make such awards as it shall deem to be in the best interest of the City. Questions Deadline: 6/27/2023 05:00 PM (CT) The contractor shall install an A/C split system with an economizer for control and server room and an HP split system for only break room. The A/C shall have a rating of EER of 13.6 or better and/or IEER of 13.1 or better with a 15 tons capacity. The HP mini split system shall have a rating of EER of 18 or better and/or SEER of 33.1 or better with a 9000 BTU/h capacity. Further details can be found in section 4. Included in Section 4 is the requirement for HVAC systems to be completed by the Contractor. Also identified in Section 4 are the tasks that the Contractor will install and test the HVAC. A.
