The purpose of this Request for Proposal by Page County Public Schools is to solicit sealed proposals from interested vendors (Offeror) to establish a contract for the provision of MEP (mechanical/electrical/plumbing) engineering services for boiler replacement at Page County High School. Page County Public Schools (PCPS) is located in the northern Shenandoah Valley of Virginia and serves approximately 3,000 students. As a publicly funded school division, PCPS regularly looks for efficiencies in school operations. Page County High School serves the southern portion of the county with student enrollment of approximately 500 and approximately 50 staff. The school includes a commons area, kitchen, auditorium, gymnasium, as well as classroom and office space. The total building area is approximately 140,000 square feet. Provide MEP (mechanical/electrical/plumbing) Engineering Services for replacement of Boiler #4 and Boiler #5 at Page County High School. Existing cast-iron sectional, #2 fuel-oil fired, boilers are intended to be replaced with new firebox style boilers with cast aluminum housing, linkage-less burners with high-turndown capability. Engineers shall evaluate and design new boiler burner control system to integrate to existing Johnson Controls International (JCI) Building Automation System (BAS) in an effort to decouple scope overlap and complications of services on the boiler system. Engineers shall evaluate fuel-oil pumping system operation and potential replacement and evaluate means of glycol removal from system and associated upgrades to increase long-term system efficiency. As of September 25, 2024, per owner, We are not doing anything in our school district.
