The work will consist of mill, overlay, binder, and base repair/soft & yielding repair on an as-needed basis of several roads within the Borough, including the following: Good Avenue, S. 3rd Street, N. Front Street, Willow Alley, Pear Alley, Cherry Alley, Oak Lane, and N. 2nd Street. Additional work for micro-surfacing as an option has been included in the scope as well. Bidders must conform to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act since the estimated construction costs of the project exceed $100,000. The bid must be accompanied by a Cashiers Check, Certified Check, or Bid Bond in the amount of Ten Percent (10%) of the bid, made payable to Womelsdorf Borough. Also required are a properly executed Bid Form, Non-Collusion Affidavit, Certification Statement, and Contractors Qualification Statement. The successful bidder shall also be required to provide a Performance Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount within ten (10) calendar days of written notice of acceptance of the Bid. The Borough reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or to accept any portion of any bid, waiving any defects, errors, omissions, irregularities, or informalities in the bid, and to award Contracts as is deemed best for the Borough.
