The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) intends to contract with a firm for Construction Management Services for the Demolition of Building 38 and Construction of the New Educational and Vocational Project at San Quentin Rehabilitation Center located in San Quentin, California. The Project will design and construct a new Educational and Vocational Center at the San Quentin Rehabilitation Center. The Center will be an approximately 106,000-square foot (sf) building and/or buildings, that will include a variety of programs, including but not limited to: educational and vocational classrooms, flexible spaces for music/art and recreation, a quad/courtyard area for social gatherings, staff administrative spaces, restrooms, and a goods store. Site improvements include the demolition of the former approximately 110,000-sf California Prison Industry Authority Warehouse (Building 38), relocation/modifications/upgrades to the site utilities serving the new Center, parking lot, path of travel improvements for staff and the incarcerated population, and a perimeter boundary wall and vehicle sallyport.
