This project includes the rehabilitation of Taxiway A (approximately 6506’ X 50’) and connector taxiways (300’ X 50’) at the Heart of Georgia Regional Airport. Rehabilitation includes milling, hot mix asphalt, crack sealing, and pavement markings. Bidders shall inform themselves concerning Georgia Laws and comply with same. If awarded, the time allowed for Substantial Completion on Taxiway A Rehabilitation is Sixty (60) consecutive calendar days from the date of Notice to Proceed for Construction. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond with good and sufficient surety or sureties approved by the owner for faithful acceptance of the contract, payable to, in favor of, and for the protection of the OWNER in an amount equivalent to five percent (5%) of the total amount payable by the terms of the contract or, in lieu thereof, in the form of a certified check, cashier’s check, or cash in equal amount. The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish performance and payment bonds with the executed Agreement meeting the requirements of the Contract Documents and executed on the forms attached to the Agreement. The terms and time for payment are set forth in the Agreement. Surety and insurance companies must have an AM Best rating of A-6 or greater, be listed in the Federal Registry of Companies holding Certificates of Authority and Acceptable Sureties on Federal Bonds, be licensed by the Georgia Insurance Department and the Georgia Secretary of State to do business in the State of Georgia. The HGRAA reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received and to reject any or all bids or to award or refrain from awarding the contract for the work, whichever is deemed to be in the Owner’s best interests.
