Notice Content NOTICE TO BIDDERS OWNER: The Fox River Water Reclamation District hereby gives notice that sealed Bids will be received for the Project: PUMP STATION 41 GENERATOR PAD INSTALLATION BID TIME AND PLACE: Sealed Bids will be received until 2:00 PM Prevailing Time, on the 9th day of August, 2023 at the Administration and Laboratory Building of the Fox River Water Reclamation District, 1957 N. LaFox (Route 31), South Elgin, Illinois 60177. After the official Bid closing time, the Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. BIDDING AND CONTRACT DOCUMENTS: The Bidding and Contract Documents may be purchased, at the Administration and Laboratory Building of the Fox River Water Reclamation District, 1957 N. LaFox (Route 31), South Elgin, Illinois or will be mailed upon request Phone: 847-742-2068. A non-refundable fee of $100.00 in the form of a certified or bank check is required to obtain the documents. Electronic Bidding and Contract Documents may be obtained for no fee by emailing fjakubow@frwrd.com. Bids will only be accepted in paper form, sealed and delivered as described above. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The Work consists of the construction of a new at grade concrete equipment pad, trench excavation for a below grade electrical duct bank, perimeter screening fencing, mobilization of District-provided generator equipment from the FRWRD ADP WRF to the FRWRD Pump Station 41, and installation of District-provided generator equipment at the FRWRD Pump Station 41, complete with all excavations, accessories, tools and appurtenances for a complete installation, in accordance with the requirements of the Contract Documents. BID SECURITY: Bid Security in the amount of not less than 10 % of the Bid shall accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. PRE-BID CONFERENCE: A non-mandatory, pre-bid conference will be held at the Administration and Laboratory Building at 10:00 AM, on the 1st day of August, 2023. BID REJECTION / ACCEPTANCE: OWNER reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, waive any informalities in bidding or to accept the Bid or Bids, which best serve the interest of OWNER.
