For Lead Based Paint Abatement Catawba County is soliciting proposals for a Lead Based Paint Abatement Contractor. Catawba County has received a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Scattered Site Housing Project to rehabilitate homes. This project consists of a home located on 24th Street SW, Hickory, North Carolina 28602, that contains lead based paint. The home has nine (9) lead based paint items to be addressed: EXTERIOR: The front porch ceiling and trim; (1) Door jamb and casing; (1) Wall Siding; (1) Window casing; (1) Soffit INTERIOR (2) Door jambs; (2) Cabinet doors These items will be either removed or encapsulated then completed by a general contractor. This job must pass an abatement clearance test once completed.
