Board of County Commissioners of Douglas County are seeking Request for Qualifications/Proposals (RFQ/RFP) from consultants for the Whitehall and Alstown Bridge Painting Project. The consulting firm shall have expertise in Bridge Inspection, Bridge Maintenance Practices, Civil and Structural Engineering Design, and Construction Inspection. The consultant is expected to begin work immediately upon contract approval. Funding has been allocated through the Federal Highway Bridge Program, and local sources, and will be held to standards for federally funded projects and ADA and Civil Rights language for Douglas County, and Federal EEO requirements. Project Description: The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, inspecting, evaluating, and the development of engineering, permitting, and construction documents for preventative maintenance on the Whitehall and Alstown Bridges. Douglas County, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, (78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all submitters/bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit proposals in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time
