The City of Fort Worth (City) seeks responses to this Request for Proposal (RFP) for qualified contractors who provide the best value to the City to design and construct at least two miles of natural surface primitive trails at the Tandy Hills/Stratford/Broadcast Hills Natural Area (Site). Question Deadline 09/27/2024 at 5:00 PM CT Deadline to submit Questions online OPTIONAL - SIGN DESIGN & INSTALLATION If the Proposer wishes to incorporate sign design and installation into their proposal, an additional $33,000 is available for this use only. All signs specified in the Scope of Work must be included to receive the signage funding. SITE In 2020, the City acquired the Broadcast Hill Natural Area adjacent to the Tandy Hills Nature Area, which previously consisted of Tandy Hills Park, Stratford Nature Area, and Stratford Park. The addition of Broadcast Hill Natural Area expanded the site to more than 200 acres. BONDS AND INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS This project will require a performance bond. It will also require a payment bond if a subcontractor is used. Proposers must have the ability to obtain the required bonds at the time the contract is executed. Proof of bonds and insurance are required prior to contract execution. If proof of insurance and bonds are not provided within 2 weeks of the proposer being selected, the proposer will be disqualified. A 5% retainage will be withheld from each invoice. The retainage will be paid out upon final acceptance of work by City staff. Proposers must be in good standing with the State of Texas Secretary of State. Proposers who are not in good standing will be disqualified.
