The construction time to final completion is 390 days. The Work is generally described as the construction a landfill leachate treatment system that consists of a 0.31-acre aeration pond, 0.26-acre sedimentation pond, four 0.56-acre vertical flow wetland cells, a 5.33-acre free water surface wetlands cell, a 0.65-acre mixing basin, and a zerodischarge industrial wastewater pond. The work also includes earthwork necessary to achieve specified grades, installation of liner and leachate collection systems, force mains, culverts, outlet structures, pumping facilities and other mechanical equipment, electrical power and control systems, gravel, and sand media to be placed in the wetland cells, wetlands plantings, sod, seeding and mulch, a concrete spillway, and all other work items for a complete and functioning leachate treatment system The awarded Contractor must have a State of Florida Certified General Contractor's license and should be submitted as part of the bid submittal. The Contractor shall submit with the bid evidence that the Contractor, its subcontractors, and its personnel are experienced and competent to construct lined treatment impoundments and related systems as described in the Technical Specifications and Drawings. The Contractor shall submit at least 2 examples of construction projects of similar design, size, scope, and complexity that have been completed by the Contractor within the last 7 years. The Example Projects shall demonstrate that the Contractor has either direct experience performing the construction element or coordinated the work of subcontractor(s) performing the construction element during a project on which the Contractor was the prime/General Contractor. For each Example Project, please provide: Project Name Project Manager's name along with email and telephone number Project Location Date of construction completion Project write-up describing the project and how it is of similar design, size, scope, and complexity to this Project. The Contractor must have been the Prime Contractor for the project, and shall identify the party/organization responsible for performing each work element (e.g., earthwork, liner work, treatment system components) that was performed This evidence shall demonstrate the Contractor has experience to successfully complete the project in a timely manner and as required in the bid documents. The County hereby notifies all Bidders that Women/Minority Business Enterprise firms are to be afforded a full opportunity to participate in any bid by the County and will not be subject to discrimination on the basis of race, color, sex or national origin. It is asked that Bidders make good faith efforts to use qualified W/MBE subcontractors in preparing their bid.
