New High School and East Addition. New High School location: 159 Roelker Road, Wright City, MO 63390 East Elementary School location: 3675 West Meyer Road, Foristell, MO 63348 These documents constitute an Invitation to Bid to and request for qualifications from General Contractors for the construction of the projects described below. Both projects may be bid together or bid on separately. The school District can award separate contractors for each project, if the costs are more favorable that way Summary Project Description: New ground up 125,000 sf one story high school with gym as a storm shelter, classrooms, library, cafetorium, kitchen, site work, and athletics. Football soccer stadium bas bid: Grass turf fields, fence and gates, stairs to plaza, football goal posts, Site grading and drainage. Football Alt #1: Filled turf field and drainage, subsurface compacted fill and rock, sports Turf (Shaw Legion 2.0 hybrid synthetic turf system) over shock pad (Shaw Nxtplay), urethane rubber track with poured rubber over asphalt, sprayed red top coat, home bleachers concrete supports and bleachers on sloped hill, relocated visitor bleachers from existing stadium on new concrete slab, press box, storage shed, paved sidewalks, throwing fields for track, scoreboard, electrical service and panels, Data/fiber connection, A/V rack, water supply, flag pole, stadium lights. Performance Gym Alt #2: Full high School performance style gym, sports performance wood flooring, fold away basketball goals, electronic scoreboards, locker rooms, restrooms, lobby, canopy, concession stand, signage, A/V rack and system for public address and music. Baseball base bid: Grass turf, rock parking and walkways, masonry backstop, fencing and gates, dugout fenced, site grading, and drainage. Baseball Alt #3: Filled turf infield and drainage, subsurface grading, compacted rock and fill, sports Turf (Shaw Truhop 46 synthetic turf system infield) grass outfield, Field sports lights, building lights and parking lights, bullpen and soft toss areas, concession, 2 restrooms, press box, dugouts, storage, scoreboard, concrete pads for bleachers and tip and roll bleachers, electrical service and panels, Data/fiber connection, A/V rack, forced main and pump/grinder, water supply, paved parking lots and concrete walkways and pavement. Summary Project Description: 4 Classroom addition to East Elementary School of approximately 5,300 sf. The addition will include a pair of restrooms, storage and corridor to classrooms. The addition will be designed as a storm shelter for everyone on the campus. Required Substantial Completion Date for the High School: Not later than November, 2024. Required Substantial Completion date for the Addition to East Elementary School: No later than August 2024. All bidders in response to this bid shall provide as a security a bid bond or certified check in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the base bid amount. All bid guarantees shall be drawn payable to the Owner and must be submitted with bid as guarantee that Bidder will promptly enter into a contract and execute such bonds that are required if awarded to the contractor. Failure of successful bidder to furnish any required Performance and Payment Bonds will result in forfeiture of the Bid Guarantee. The contractor awarded the project shall furnish to the Owner a Performance guarantee in an amount equal to 100% of the contract sum. Payment Bond - the Contractor shall furnish to the District a labor and materials payment bond acceptable in the amount equal to 100% of the total contract sum. All guarantees will contain provisions guaranteeing faithful performance of the prevailing wage requirements set forth. Guarantees shall be furnished prior to starting the project. The guarantees shall be in the form of a Bond or Certified Check. Said guarantee shall provide that it will not be cancelled, materially altered or changed for the contract period. Please note that Missouri's Prevailing Wage Law establishes a minimum wage rate for public works projects in Missouri valued over $75,000. If the project is over $75,000, the wage rates applicable to this project have been predetermined as required by law and are set forth in this specification. Effective January 1, 2009, and pursuant to RSMo 285.530 (1), No business entity or employer shall knowingly employ, hire for employment, or continue to employ an unauthorized alien to perform work within the state of Missouri. The successful bidder must submit a sworn affidavit and documentation affirming the business entity's enrollment and participation in the federal work authorization program and that all of its employees working for the contracted services are not illegal immigrants. Upon signing the contract, the successful contractor and any subcontractor performing the work shall provide a ten- hour Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) construction safety program for their on-site employees. The Wright City R-II School District hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.
